Famed Hong Kong filmmaker Wong Kar Wai has crafted some of the greatest films of the last half century. In this marathon, I endeavor to explore his filmography top to bottom, in large part thanks to the wonderful Criterion Collection boxset which includes 7 of the 11 titles on the list. While an important filmmaker in my life and the lives of many other cinephiles, I have actually only previously seen 2 of the films here, the two most significant: Chungking Express and In the Mood for Love. Each are knockout films and I very much look forward to discovering his other works, which I am sure are just as wonderful.
