The Aristocats (1970)

Directed by Wolfgang Reitherman

This one was kind of cute. The lady reminded me of Gloria Swanson in Sunset Blvd. and the whole movie reminded me of a kind of 101 Dalmatians meets Robin Hood for some reason. My favorite main characters were the kittens because they were so small ad cute & cuddly. But other than that I think that Scat Cat is one of my favorite characters of the entire marathon so far. All the other characters were okay, nothing to write home about.

But seriously, Scat Cat saved the film for me. His first scene is so great. It’s a party and more people should listen to jazz music. I love how on the box of the movie it said “The Jazzy Disney Classic.” The whole caper idea of it and the whole Lady & the Tramp love story worked, but it all seemed so familiar.

I liked it better when it was called Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey.
